The Sagemoor group is comprised of four partnerships, under common management, doing business as Sagemoor Vineyards: Sagemoor Farms, Bacchus Vineyards, Dionysus Vineyards and Weinbau Vineyards. Our management team has the experience, knowledge, skills and motivation to grow the superior quality fruit essential to making great wine.

Sagemoor Vineyards Organizational Structure

General Manager Kent Waliser oversees all Eastern Washington operations with the horticultural, marketing and operations management skills acquired through running his own farming business and managing the NW operations of Dole Food Co. Kent is directly responsible for our tree fruit business.

Vineyard Manager Derek Way has a degree in Horticulture from Washington State University and continuing education in "Grapevine Anatomy & Physiology" and the "AgForestry Leadership Program". He came to us from Ste Michelle Wine Estates where he was a Viticulturist overseeing 2500 acres of company and 1500 acres of contracted vineyards. Derek's technical training and palate for fine wine provide him the tools to translate winemakers' goals into vineyard practices.

Field operations are supervised by two of the best in the industry. Servando Rodriguez started with the Company in 1974, and has been the Production Manager for Sagemoor, Bacchus and Dionysus since 1982. Servando received the prestigious “Grower of the Year Award” from the Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers in 2013. Miguel Rodriguez joined the Company in 1979, and has been the Production Manager at Weinbau since 1986. He received the "Grower of the Year Award" in 2005. Servando and Miguel have played key roles in developing the vineyards from infancy to where they are today.

Office Manager & Bookkeeper Wendy Haggard is responsible for accounting and administrative functions. She's the person to talk to if you have questions about invoices, purchase orders, insurance or general office matters.
